About the Writer
Imonitie Christopher Imoisili is an international management consultant based in Los Angeles, CA, USA.
He was until June 2006 the Senior Specialist, Entrepreneurship & Management Development in the
International Labour Organization (ILO) Subregional Office for the Caribbean, based in Port of Spain,
Trinidad & Tobago, West Indies. Before joining the ILO [a UN Specialized Agency] in March 1999, he had
served as Adjunct Faculty Member, National University, Los Angeles, CA, USA (1998-99), Director-
General, Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association, NECA (1992-97), Executive Secretary, Association
of Food, Beverage & Tobacco Employers of Nigeria, AFBTE (1980-91) and Lecturer in Business
Administration, University of Lagos, Nigeria (1973-80).
Imoisili holds a B. Sc. (2nd Upper Honours) in Business Administration from the University of Lagos,
Nigeria (June 1971), and an MBA (Quantitative Business) (Feb. 1973) and Ph. D. (Management of
Organizations) (Oct. 1977) both from Columbia University, New York City, USA. He is a Member of the
International Labour & Employment Relations Association (ILERA), a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of
Management (FNIM) and of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (FIPM). He has
published extensively in the areas of labour-management relations, strategic management, productivity
improvement, small enterprise and cooperative development and research methods.
Imoisili is a Special Most Senior Evangelist in the Celestial Church of Christ [ ].
He was the Secretary of the Parochial Committee of the CCC Lagos Central Parish, Lekki Peninsula,
Lagos, 1987-97. He was until recently the Regional Director in charge of Youth Ministry, Region C, of the
USA Diocese.
